Split vessel

This unique sculptural vessel was fired in the studio with an overlay of glazes including a copper glaze and an ash glaze using ash collected from a local garden, using various effects to give it hints of grey, red, and light mauve highlights on top of the dark clay used. It features a classic yet modern shape and the firing techniques with the added glaze lend it a bright surface with darker undertones.
