Roche / large twin vessel

825

1 in stock

This large, very unique handmade vessel is part of a series of ongoing objects that explore ancient forms, stone and sediment. It is glazed with overlays of five glazes I developed in the studio, some of which include local granite and ash I collected. These collected materials give the piece variations within the movement and flow of the glaze as it melts and details of small, brown iron spots coming through the glaze.

The design for the piece was inspired by a double vessel found in the MET collection that dates back to the first millenium BCE.

The piece in the photo is unique and the exact piece you will receive from purchasing this listing.
All pieces are signed on the bottom and come with a certificate of authenticity.
