Bristol Blue Silk vessel

This unique sculptural vessel was hand-built in the studio from a white stoneware clay and glazed with a pale satin glaze that feels like sillk to the touch. It has waves of white and pale blue, flowing around the diagonal grooves made during handbuilding process. It features a simple shape that evokes volume and breath, the start of a series the reflect a desire for ample calm and elegance mixed with expressive glazing. The glazes are a combination of recipes developped by the studio and materials collected from the environment like sand, clay, glass, ashes or ground rocks.
