ABOUt Moïo Studio
Moïo Studio is the Berlin-based ceramic art studio of Franco-Palestinian artist Maia Beyrouti, who currently lives and works in Berlin.
Each project comes together as a result of the studio’s ongoing clay materials research, which informs a desire for certain forms and techniques inspired by architecture, raw materials, and celebrating mundane, utilitarian or overlooked details. All of the work is handmade by the artist in her studio.

Maia Beyrouti
Maia was born in Paris, grew up in the South of France and moved to London as a teen in the 1990s. There, she studied at Chelsea, Camberwell College of Arts and Crafts, and LCC. She is now based in Berlin, Germany since 2009.
With an eclectic background in Conservation, Historical & Cultural studies, and Visual Communication, she nurtured a multi-disciplinary approach to her art, which includes painting, text and ceramics.
