Bisalta III

230

1 in stock

This unique sculptural vessel is part of an ongoing series of rectangular pieces made to highlight the studio’s glazework.
The piece was wood fired in the Italian mountains near Bisalta, which gave the piece it’s name, after which it was glazed and fired a second time with a pale green glaze that crawls and pools on the piece, accentuating the diagonal traces made from the handbuilding process and revealing the toasted, wood fired clay underneath. It has features of ash glazing from the wood firing, deposited at various angles on the piece which give it different sides according to the passage of the flames.

This is a unique piece and photos are of the exact piece you will receive.
The piece is watertight.
