Wall piece II / Sicily

This unique piece was made during my residency in Sicily in 2024, it is a continuation of my glaze research using wild materials I collect from the local environment and using a hand-building technique I have developed in the past years. This one is glazed using sand from the local beach, and features a botanical motif inspired by the orange trees that were growing in the studio courtyard, the thick layer of sandy matte glaze giving the piece a hazy and glassy feel.

The piece comes with four brass screw to help mount it to the wall. This is a unique piece and photos are of the exact piece you will receive.
