This handmade vessel is a unique piece, part of a series of ongoing objects that explore ancient forms, vessels, stone and sediment, looking at the overlaps with the architecture and appeal of cave formations. The pieces in this series are glazed with a mix of sandstone and mother-of-pearl like gazes. This piece is layered with various glazes which pool into a striking deep crystalline blue, with gradations of green, purple, yellow, white and pink accents giving it an iridescent-like jewel quality.
