Roche / Stalagmite Ash Vessel

This large handmade vessel is a unique piece, part of a series of ongoing objects that explore ancient forms, vessels, stone and sediment, looking at the overlaps with the architecture and appeal of cave formations. This piece is glazed with overlays of an ash glaze I developed and a glossy black glaze, creating a striking and dark piece that stands on its own or can hold a large bouquet of flowers and offset it as a statement piece, either on a table or even standing on the floor.
